Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four siblings was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. She was encouraged by her parents, a dentist and teacher who both taught her to pursue her interest in the theatre. This was in contrast with her previous desire to be a primatologist due to the fact that she adored monkeys. Early success and a rapid increase in recognition was a sign of her development as an actor. In 1998 after her studies, she took part in an French talent-scouting TV programme Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to beginning her acting career in earnest. Tautou attended church and the Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she is now separating herself from these upbringings. In addition to acting, she has also been a model and the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. She also has a serious interest in photography and recently presented an exhibit of her work during the Arles Festival with the name Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on celebrity and fame, and then turns her camera to those who scrutinized her following her sudden rise to stardom as Amelie as well as self-portraits. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her debut role in the role of the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was an international box-office success, and received accolades during awards ceremonies across the world. It's also the biggest French language film to ever be released in the US. In the following year, she starred in British dramas, including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de Faancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood in the United States, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
