Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to achieve a score of 10 in a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian Gymnastics Coach discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the 1969 national junior championships. She finished 13th. The following year she was crowned champion. In her very first international contest in 1972, she came out on top with three gold medals. When she competed for the first time as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver medal. She won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and was the first female ever to remove the bars in parallel with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she began her career in the entertainment business as a performer as a figure skater. Together with her younger twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol ventured into the entertainment industry during her teenage years. She began her career when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. The shows featured the ice skating of which was accompanied by theatrical music.
